My Little "Pumpkins" and a Little Project

So I told you the other day that Aggie and Dalton's new thing is to climb together up the slide and that Aggie himself is sliding down the slide now. Well the picture of Aggie coming down the slide is way to blurry but I have some of him climbing up with Dalton.
You can't really see him in the one above but he is behind Dalton to the right you can see his head a little to the right of Dalton's shoulder and his paw is right by the orange part on the top right.
Here you can see him better waiting his turn to get up the slide haha.Dalton learned how to sit down and push himself down his slide all by himself the other day.
He loves to slide fast enough that he lands straight on his butt with his legs flying out in front of him.
He didn't want to come in to get more clothes on (no my son does not always wear just a diaper when out in the backyard haha it just seems like it in all his pictures on the slide) but it was getting colder by the minute that night so we made him put a jacket on and I just think his face is hilarious in this picture. This is the face he makes when he is mad at whatever you are making him do.
My little bugaboo in his jacket ready to go back out and show off his sliding skills some more.
Ok now for a little project I did this Friday night. I had a scarecrow that I wanted to put somewhere but I really wanted something for her to sit on that could raise her from the ground. So I bought these two unfinished boxes at hobby lobby.
I decided to paint them on all sides and top with a rusty brown color to go with the fall colors in the house.
I bought two different sizes so I could stack them and she would be on top of the top box. It would give her some lift for where I was going to put her.
Then I got some twine and hot glued it to all the corners and to the sides of the lids.
And here she is on her new seat!!!
While I was doing this project Dalton and Daddy were playing golf with his new Mickey Mouse Golf Set. I kept telling them not to hit the ball too hard but they did and boom under the stove it went.
Here they are both looking for it under the stove so they can keep playing.
Dalton's like "uh Dad can you hurry up I'm waiting patiently" hahaha. They finally got it out and were able to finish playing their game. Then we watched Ghosts of Girlfriends past together for the first time. It was a cute movie thank you Daddy for getting it for us to watch!!! Saturday we went to a Pumpkin Patch to get our pumpkins this year. We knew that we wanted to go to one this year because last year we were out on a wild goose chase trying to find one and we ended up getting lost somewhere. This year our good friend Kristy told us about one that she passes on the way home so we decided to check it out. It was adorable and we're super glad we went. When we first got there Dalton was taking a nap so he was a little out of it. I brought him over to sit in the pumpkins and he just sat down on one and was watching everything that was going on while Daddy was buying our hay ride tickets.
When he saw Daddy coming over to us he jumped up and got so excited and then he really "woke up".
My little "Pumpkin"
We wanted to get all of our activities done first before we picked our pumpkins so we wouldn't have to carry them around everywhere. Here is Dalton and Daddy on the hay ride before Mommy jumped on.
Here we all are ready to get the show on the road.
As soon as the hay ride started Dalton got excited. Dalton loves cows and when he saw them he said "WHOA" really loud:):)
The Hay Ride was actually alot longer than I thought it was going to be. It took us all around the land and we saw SO many Christmas Tree farms growing getting ready for the next couple of months. It was cute to see how small they start out and then how big they grow. When we got back from the hay ride we decided to get a snack. Daddy got a hot dog and a sprite and Dalton and I got nachos and a coconut snowcone. Dalton thought the snowcone was only for him and did not like sharing with Mommy hahaha.
There was a big turkey by where we were sitting and Dalton seemed to want to climb up there so with a little help from Mommy he got up there and was trying to ride the turkey. I guess he thought it was like a big horsey haha.
Dalton looks so tiny next to those two pumpkins!!!

Awwww and here is Dalton with his new friend he made. Him and the scarecrow loved snuggling in the chair together:) Then it was time for the train ride however we were stopped by these two HUGE moonwalk slides. Mister Dalton was trying to run and get on them as hard as he could so we decided to use our tickets for these instead of the train ride since we'd already been on the hay ride. Daddy said he got a picture of me and Dalton going down them and this was the picture. Ummm where are we Daddy? hahaha I guess we slid down too fast. Dalton was so cute when it was time to get off of them I was bringing him to the side to let him down and when he felt the ground beneath his feet instead of the moonwalk he picked his legs up because he wanted to go back on. Then he just kept trying to outrun me back to the entrance to the moonwalk while I was trying to get his shoes back on.
Sunday we decided to take Aggie to the Doggie Park in my mom's neighborhood which is right down the road from our house. I feel so bad for him because our yard is terribly small and I wish we had more room for him to run around so we took him here where he could be off of his leash and run as fast as he pleased.
Boy did he love it. And he loved interacting with all the other dogs that were there too. He played with two golden retrievers, an australian sheperd, a basset hound, a sharpe (however you spell that) and I can't remember what that massive dog was. The owner told me and she also said she weighs 80 pounds. After seeing that and knowing that Aggie was going to be over 110 pounds I just kept thinking we bought a little horse not a dog hahaha.
My little man posing for the camera.
Best Friends!!!
Our Fur Baby!!! He had such a great time and came home and napped the whole rest of the day.
Dalton did great playing with ALL of the dogs. He brought his little football and was throwing it with them and running with them all. It was so cute:-) Then we went home and carved our pumpkins we had gotten.
Dalton and I washed all three of the pumpkins to get all the filth off of them.
Dalton was playing with Daddy's while we were cutting and gutting the other two.
Here he is yelling basically telling me to hurry and do the one he has instead of taking pictures haha.
And there is his hilarious pouty look:):):):) I think it is so funny when he does this and I always say "Oh are you being a crabby" in a little donald duck voice and he just gives me this look like Mom you are NOT FUNNY!!! hahaha
Alright, they are all gutted and now we're ready to start the carving. Dalton is trying to figure out how to put the top on. He likes it better upside down because everytime I would put it back right he would come by and put it back upside down again.
Aggie was wonderful laying on the cushion where he slept to take his nap outside in the beautiful weather.
The three finished pumpkins.
Dalton's that I carved!!! It's the cutest little Monster. Half way through carving I lost the little paper so I had to eye ball it the rest of the way by the front cover. No offense to any of you that loves these but this is the first and LAST year we will do the whole carving set with the book that you have to poke the little holes and then carve or whatever. I just cut as I went I didn't even poke holes and neither did Chantz it was such a waste of time to us. It took us triple the time it usually takes us to cut our pumpkins and we do just as good when we just eye ball it so from now on it's back to the old times when they didn't have those books.
This is my pumpkin that Chantz carved for me because Dalton's was taking forever.
And Chantz's "original" pumpkin. He doesn't like to really do the whole design thing he likes them better to stick to the original design with just the happy face haha. After we carved pumpkins I went shopping while Daddy watched football and the kids slept. I got so many cute things I can't even list them all. I'm starting Dalton's new room this week so I went and got some fabric and ribbon and paint and I'll post some of the projects as the week progresses. I also made the cutest little ghosts to stand in our walkway border that are getting drenched as I type. It is pouring here like a monsoon hahaha. I hope they hold up cause they are adorable. While I was making the ghosts chantz and I looked at each other and said hmm why don't we hear Dalton......
I know he was in Aggie's new crate. When we bought Aggie this new HUGE crate a couple of weekends ago Chantz said you watch Dalton is going to think this is his new playhouse lol. I didn't believe him but this is surely what happened.
We had a super weekend and are ready for Halloween now!!! I hope all of you had a great weekend. This week holds lots of projects in Dalton's bedroom that I can't wait to get started on and we have to get Aggie's halloween costume. So we'll be busy busy busy!!!

Oh yeay - I'm glad you posted the pics - I can see Aggie, how incredibly cute!!! That must have been so entertaining to watch!!!

I also liked Dalton's expression when you put on his coat. That reminds me - tomorrow I am posting a pic on my blog of Logan's new expression. Guess what? He has started doing the exact one that you posted of Dalton last week! I don't know why I'm surprised, I'm sure the similarities won't end anytime soon :)

I wished we lived closer, I could use your help with decorating! I love what you did for the scarecrow!!!

I saw your chef mat :) And I love the pics of Dalton at the pumpkin patch. How adorable that he said "whoa" for the cow! That pic your husband took is hilarious, looks like something my husband would take :p

Aggie is really growing up! That's great Dalton did well with all of the dogs.

I love your pumpkins! I can't wait to carve our jack o lanterns this weekend. My husband always does those books, I'll have to tell him it's easier without it! Yours look great! I can't wait to see what you do with Dalton's room.

Thank you for the comment on my post today! I was so surprised (but relieved) that Logan likes his costume now!

I have family who live in Houston (my aunt and uncle and three cousins and their families) - they like to remind us how warm it is there once winter comes for us and it is below zero here! :p

Oh my gosh these pictures are adorable! I heart your pumpkin creations, so creative. The pumpkins I have on the floor by my fireplace I bought back in Bartlesville, OK at a local shop. But I feel like I've seen ones really similar in various places. I'll let you know if I see them again.
