Disney World Vacation Day 1

Saturday 10/3/2009:

So today was the day we left to go to Disney World. We flew out at 7:40 in the morning so we arrived at the airport around 5:50. Of course nothing was open but it didn't matter we were all three so excited we couldn't stop saying I can't wait to do this and I can't wait to do that. Check in was really smooth since we had no bags to check (nana and papa drove there and took all our luggage). We did think it was ridiculous and discusting that they make you take flip flops off. So Chantz and I were walking bare foot through security DISCUSTING!!! Then one guy was telling me ma'am take his shoes off (Dalton's) and another guy was telling me ma'am do you have a dvd player and a girl was saying please come around to this side instead all at the same time. So I got frustrated and was happy when we were heading towards our gate. I can't believe they made us take Dalton's shoes off too I mean if someone would put a bomb in THEIR KIDS SHOES they are sick. The sad thing is there are people probably out there that would. Anyways so we went walking to our gate C32 and along the way there was one of those runner things that makes you feel like you're walking really fast so we let Dalton walk on it and it was so early in the morning he just stood there and looked like ugh please pick me up I don't know what is going on with this thing hahaha. When we got to the gate Dalton was hungry so we gave him his usual breakfast bar and some juice. We only waited for like 20 minutes and then it was time to board. He was waiting so patiently I couldn't even believe it. I thought for sure he would be screaming or running around like a maniac. He sat there on me with his monkey and held onto his smiley face thing that he always wacks us with haha. Usually they board people with kids under 4 first but on this flight they said they had so many kids (I wonder why we were flying to Orlando lol) so they were just boarding them with their usual rows. We were close to the front in aisle 16. We were on a 737 so it had three seats on either side of the plane. Dalton and I had the window seat and Chantz had the middle seat. There were so many kids on the plane and they were all talking about Mickey Mouse and wearing Disney stuff it was so cute!!! Dalton did awesome the whole flight. At first waiting to take off we read his Diego book that Aunt Brittany bought him. Then we gave him dum dum lolipops to take off and before we were even off the runway he was out with the lolipop stuck to my arm. He slept the whole way only waking up two times for like five minutes and then going right back to sleep. The flight was steady and wonderful we didn't hit any turbulence or anything and we got a really good muffin and drink as our breakfast snack.
When we landed we were greated by nana and papa in baggage claim and then out to the car to head to our hotel. We stayed at the NickelodeonHotel the first night we were there since Dalton's favorite people are Dora, Diego and Sponge Bob. When we got there we decided we wanted to relax and enjoy the pool the first day on vacation so we changed into our swimsuits and headed to the Nickelodeon Mall inside the hotel to eat some lunch. The hotel was adorable and I can see how so many kids love that place. We had a two bedroom suite that was baby rugrats themed. It had two bedrooms, a pull out couch in the living room and then a kitchenette/dining area and bathroom. In Dalton's room he had bunkbeds with a room that was completely done in rugrats and I mean everywhere the beds the floor, the walls and all the decor, and it had a little play table in there with a tv for him. The room had a curtain instead of a door which Dalton thought was awesome so he kept running in there and hiding and we had to keep finding him :):) When we changed him in his bathing suit Dalton picked up the phone and started talking on it. We were like what are you doing are you calling Gammy and he said "yeah" and then we would say are you calling other family members names and he would say no lol. It was like he thought he was really calling his Gammy.
After we all got in our bathing suits we headed for the mall. We ate at Subway and Dalton ate at this little grill that had chicken fingers (his favorite). This was all in the "food court" of the Nickelodeon Mall.
While we were eating Dalton was entertaining us by being the funny joker haha. He was always the star of the show while we were on vacation everyone said how they were more entertained by him than the actual things going on, ha!!! Here he is being silly with Poppy while we were eating lunch.

While we were eating I also noticed all of the kids dressed up in the costumes and gathering in the area next to the food court. So I went to see if we could enter Dalton in for the trick or treating with characters. I went to go get him a trick or treat bag in the gameroom and they were checking out these little halloween costumes for kids. There was a pirate hat for girl or boy, princess tutu with wings for girls, clown hair and red nose for girl or boy, firefighter blow up hammer and hat for boy or girl, and cowboy hat and hankerchief for girl or boy. Since I was already there and I knew Dalton loves hammers I got him the firefighter one. Here he is below with his hammer. We made Poppy wear the hat since Dalton hates things to be on his head haha.

We got in line and went to go trick or treating at the different stations throughout the mall. The first were these two guys which I didn't now them but I'm sure Dalton did and even if he didn't he still thought they were funny haha.
Next was Sponge Bob and Patrick two of Dalton's favorite. Sponge Bob was a cute little ghost but it covered him all the way that Dalton really didn't know who he was. He knew Patrick though as soon as he saw him. They were playing ghost busters in this room which I thought was cute. And all throughout the path they were playing I want Candy so Dalton and I had fun dancing.

They were giving out the cutest candy. At each station it was character themed candy like either little sweet tarts in a dora bag or diego bag or some other character. Well my grandpa was about to eat this sponge bob candy when I took a picture. It was a jelly crabby patty!!! How cute!!! It must not have tasted good though because Dalton spit it on the floor.

And finally the last one we went to was Dora and Diego!!! These are Dalton's favorite people. He was squirming all around to get loose out of my arms when he saw her but this time we were in line and he had to wait his turn which he didn't like very much. You can see by his face in the picture how big his mouth is dropped cause he's that excited to see them in person:):)

After the fun filled trick or treating we went to the pool. Dalton LOVED this pool because there was toddler zone with their own little tube slide for toddlers. He's never allowed to go down any of the water slides so he was super excited he could go down this one. All he kept doing was going up again and again and again. As soon as we would get to the bottom he would get out of the water thing and go back to the stairs. This was toddler zone where the water slide was and that is Chantz walking with Dalton going in there.

We finally convinced Dalton to go swim with us in the big pool. Him and Daddy swam in there for a while.

And then he needed a snack so we let him sit down and eat some cheerios and grapes.

Then someone started getting very sleepy so we decided to go back let Dalton take a nap and shower and change to go to Downtown Disney. On the way back we stopped at the Guest Services Desk to make our reservations for the Character Breakfast and my poor little man looked like he could barely keep his eyes open at this point.
We stopped to see Dora in the Oasis on the way back to the room also and Dalton was rubbing her hair. How sweet, he never does that to mommy haha!!!

Even though he looked so tired, as soon as we got back to the room and changed him to dry clothes he took off running around in circles. So we quickly showered and changed and were off to Downtown Disney. On the way there he fell asleep so we went to eat at Rainforest Cafe and ordered quickly so we could eat before he woke up. Well that didn't happen either as soon as the first rainstorm went off he was up and in high energy mode. We finished eating and took him on the choochoo train that was there. He learned to say "choochoo" while we were on this vacation because he rode so many of them and now every time he hears a horn of like a boat or train he says "choochoo" it's so cute.
The picture of us on the choochoo is blury but you can see us both waving to Daddy, Nana and Papa. Then we went walking around Downtown Disney and went through all of the shops, including the Team Mickey shop which was Dalton's favorite. Here he got a cute little espn shirt and a NY Giants football and an espn squishy basketball. He kept grabbing all of the balls in the baskets and throwing them in the store so we had to hurry and get him out of there haha.
We went to the Pooh Bear store that is there and I had to get this picture with Dalton because I take a picture on this same log every year that I come to Disney. All the previous ones have been with my brother but now I get to be with my little angel. Our little man just loved Pooh Bear and Chantz thinks it's because he has a Pooh Bear humidifier in his room that we always say ok say goodnight to Pooh before he goes to bed.Here's me and Dalton with Buzz Lightyear and Dalton's being silly and sitting his head on top of mine instead of smiling for the picture haha. This is in front of the Mr. Potatoe head store which is an awesome store. You can make any kind of Potatoe head you can imagine. It has these construction trucks at the top of the entrance that actually unload every five minutes and then on the other side of the entrance is Mr. Potatoe head as you see below.

Then Daddy took Dalton on the Merry Go Round. Dalton loved the Merry Go Round and would laugh and wave everytime it came around to us it is so cute we have it on tape.

We got some other really cute pictures at the shops that were there. This one is with 101 Dalmnations and we kept saying is that like Aggie and he would shake his head no haha. He was right though Aggie is yellow and they are black and white.
I love this picture because it's like he's looking at Donald asking why are you so mad. This is in one of the jewelry pin exchange stores that is there.

This is now one of my favorite pictures of Chantz and I we were in the front of Downtown Disney by Planet Hollywood when we took this.
