LONG Update

Well I can't believe how long it's been since my last post but things have been pretty crazy around here.

To start off on February 20th, 2011 at 11:14am our beautiful little Keylee Marie was born. I had went to the doctor for a doctor appointment and was scheduled for an induction to be done on February the 22nd, but on Saturday the 20th my mom took methe hospital because things just weren't right. We started that night out at the er at st lukes with my brother becuase he thought he had alcohol poisoning and wasn't able to breath right so we rushed him to the er and then as soon as my mom walked in her house with him I was calling her asking her to come over and take me to the hospital just to make sure everything was ok. I had been leaking fluid all day and wasn't really sure if it was my water breaking or not so I just wanted to be sure. Well when we got there it wasn't my water that had been leaking but they checked me and I was 5cm dialiated and having contractions every 2 minutes apart so they decided to admit me. My poor mom was exhausted because since I wasn't prepared thinking it was going to be nothing she had to keep running back and forth to my house to get my vehicle and our bags and everything else and help me notify Chantz who was at work thinking we were going to just get a "dear it's false labor go on home". Chantz's mom and him stayed with me the whole night while I just "coasted" and then at 7 am they woke me up to tell me they were putting the edpidural in and the petocin in to get the baby out. I started telling people and they were in route thinking it was going to be a while like it was with Dalton however at 10:30 the nurse came in and said you're almost at 10 were getting ready to get the doctor in here and deliver your baby. I almost freaked because I couldn't believe I had jumped that fast with her and I really did not feel anything I wasn't sick, hurting, NOTHING. It was extrememly weird but I figured they knew what they were talking about. Sure enough at 11 Dr Reeves came in and said lets get the baby out. I pushed for maybe 6 or 7 minutes and she was out. I didn't throw up like last time or even break a sweat. My doctor says it was probably because she was WAY farther down and ready to come out so it was quicker for her but if that's the case I hope any other baby I ever deliver will be "that far down". Anyways she came out at 7lbs 6oz which is 2oz bigger than Dalton was and she was 19.25 inches long which was shorter than Dalton at 21 inches. I have to be honest as soon as she came out I had a guilty feeling like "where's Dalton" that was all I could think about was that if he didn't come in immediatley he would think I didn't want or love him anymore. It was a very emotional day as I was overwhelmed with joy and love for her but also so worried and upset about Dalton and that he still knew he was my little angel also and I didn't love him not one ounce less just because we had Keylee now too. The first couple of days were pretty much an emotional roller coaster. I was sad that Dalton was at home with other people and not with Chantz and I and Keylee at the hospital so I was definitely ready to get out of there and be at home with my family. Keylee's pediatrician told me he heard some fluid left over in her lungs since she came out so quickly and wasn't in the birth canal that long it didn't give it time to get pushed out which worried my completely being a mom. She also dropped all the way down to 6lbs 11oz which concerned the doctors so it was a little nerve racking just hearing all of these things. When we arrived at home things were pretty hard at first with the jealousy issues from Dalton of Keylee and the annoyance of not being able to go up the stairs in my house and being so uncomfortable from nursing her. When we took her to the doctor and found out she was gaining and healthy a huge relief lifted off of my shoulders and once Dalton started acting sweet and loving towards her all the weight was gone. I was able to enjoy my family being together and eating up every sweet second of Keylee being with us. I just also need to say that I really didn't think I was going to care if I had two boys and never had a girl UNTIL I had Keylee. I am SO happy she is a girl and am having so much fun dressing her up and putting matching bows in her hair and can't wait to take her to get her nails painted and watch her carry little purses and so much more!! We love you sweet baby girl and are so glad you are here with us and as healthy as can be after a VERY frightful nine months of pregnancy and premature labor with you.

Now with Dalton.....Dalton was so excited to have his baby sister come join us, at least that's what he thought lol. He would love putting his little head up to my belly and kiss my belly every single day but when she actually came he was confused. I was showing him how the ball in my belly was gone at the hospital and he just kept starting at her like what is my mom doing holding that baby. The way he said her name at first it sounded like he was calling her "kiwi" which was pretty funny. After about the first week he really turned around to where every morning when he came downstairs he would ask "where's kiwi" and go look in her bassinet to see if she was still sleeping in there. He starting giving her kisses, fed her some pumped milk and was even laying down on the floor next to her when she was getting her diaper changed. He is now to the point where he won't go anywhere without her and if he does he asks where she is the whole time. He always brings her her "paci" which is her pacifier and everytime she's crying in the car he will find her paci for her and give it to her. I love when he says "she just want her paci" whenever she cries. Lately when we're in the car and keylee starts crying he will get extremely mad at the car in front of us and SCREAM "move lady my baby's crying" or "go lady my baby's crying"...it just cracks me up that it's always a "lady" never a man lol. This is kind of embarassing but i want to remember this...Keylee had been sucking improperly on me when I was nursing her at first and so the "tips" became really red and Dalton was walking by one day when I was trying to latch her on and goes "mommy what's that" and I said ummmm what are you talking about completely embarassed and he goes "is that a strawberry" lol and I was like yup that's a strawberry trying not to laugh and so he'll always say "she's eating her strawberries" when he sees her nursing on me. Another funny thing he's been doing is there is this song called like a G6 and for some reason when it comes on in the car dalton sings "like a cheesestick" and it just cracks me up!! And another funny thing he's been saying is "i'm gonna kick nana"....he spent a couple of nights with my nana since Chantz works nights she comes to our house and sleeps with him in the guest room so I'm not alone and he'll say yeah I'm gonna kick her and he thinks it is just the funniest thing. A couple of other funny things he's doing is with Yo Gabba Gabba. He used to be into this show where this was like the only thing we were allowed to watch....so my mother in law drove all over florida looking for Gabba toys for his birthday last year and finally found him a plush plex and brobee. Well this year he still watches Gabba every now and then but he is really into Fresh Beat Band (which has the jerk according to him and nana that's what they call him but his real name is twist) and Backyardigans and movies Toy Story, Cars, Stuart Little and Finding Nemo. Well he used to have his buzz and woody go everywhere with him and one day I hear him talking amongst his "friends" and he's telling them that's it's you go to timeout. Well I was cleaning and wasn't really paying attention to him and I go outside in the garage to throw something away and see the plex doll in the trash. So I picked him up and took him inside and said ummm Dalton why is plex in the trash and he goes on we don't like him anymore he's being mean to buzz and woody. so I told him ok honey we don't throw him away just because he doens't get along with them we just put him in another room so I set him on the bottom of the stairs. So later that day I see the downstairs bathroom door shut and I went to open it and Dalton dashes across the room to stop me and yells no you can't go in there plex is hiding in the dark. So I open the door and see his plex doll in the corner by the cabinets in the dark and I said what is he doing in here Dalton and he once again told me he was in timeout haha. The next day my mother in law came over to the house and was changing in the bathroom downstairs and Dalton went in there to talk to her and he picks up his plex doll and goes you see him his name is plex and she told him I know I drove all over florida trying to find him for you and Dalton tells her "don't blame me" lol. He is just too smart for his own good. Speaking of Dalton's "friends" he has a group of toys (whichever ones it may be that day) that he carries EVERYWHERE and those are his friends. They have to sleep with us go to the grocery store with us and even sit under the blankets with us on the couch to watch tv. Whatever is new in Dalton's life that day becomes his friends....or at least is added to his collection of friends he already brings everywhere. It's really annoying in the middle of the night when his buzz lightyear or mac goes off and starts talking or when he has so many friends in the bed with us that I get no sleep becuase I'm completely squished with no room. He has had mostly cars, buzz, woody, mac, water guns, bullseye, jesse, and just random action figures but sometimes it even goes as far as the metal pieces to the monopoly game and yes even the cup and dice that go to yatzee. My do I just love the random "friends" that sleep with us every night hahaha. Also with these friends if one of them is being to loud and I tell him to be quiet because Keylee is sleeping he will yell at them "lightning you be quiet keylee is sleeping I said no more talking or you're going to timeout" and sometimes I even fall or trip over toys as I'm coming in the door who are in the timeout spot and Dalton is extremely serious that they are not to move until they say sorry or their time is up. I'll also hear him talking to his friends at the bottom of the stairs and he sounds just like me when I talk to him he'll tell them "just wait a minute policeman my mom said when she's done she will come get your drink" lol. He is just too much and I can just eat him up. I love him more and more every day and am so excited that I now get to stay home with him and Keylee every day so I get to hear all these adorable little things that they say and these little memories that they make:)

Until next time.....

2011 so far...

Well so far 2011 has been pretty crazy. We've been adjusting to chantz's new schedules at the police department which has definitely been a challenge on all of us but we're pushing through it. We got a chance to take some pregnancy pictures this time around which was really neat and I love the way they look in her nursery. I'll have to post the pictures on here when the link it working because right now it's not connecting to our session. On January 9th my best friend through me a baby shower for Keylee and it was such a blast. We made tutus, onesies, bloomers and played some fun games also. It is so amazing to see how truly blessed we are to have such loving and caring people in our lives and we are so thankful for all of them. Keylee got plenty of beautiful and thoughful gifts that I look forward to her getting to use in the next month. The weekend right after the shower I wanted to start rushing around to get everything I needed to set up her nursery and get that finished...well I guess I overdid myself becuase I went into premature labor that night. On Sunday January 16th my mom took me to the hospital and the nurses had to give me injections to stop the labor because Keylee is still not mature enough to come out just yet. The injections cause her heartrate to go way higher than the "safe zone" which was the most nerve racking thing I've ever been through in my life. Luckily the first two doses were enough to stop the contractions and my heartrate went to high that they couldn't give me the third dose and I pretty much didn't need it anyways so that worked out to help her heartrate not continue to rise. The next day my mom took me to the doctor and he put me on bed rest from then until the end of the pregnancy with absolutely no excersice except for getting up to use the restroom. I am not someone who likes to sit still and especially when I have a list of 100 things that need to be done before my baby gets here so this has been extremely hard for me to do but knowing that it will keep my daughter safe and allow her to continue to grow I am able to stick it out. My doctor did give me pills to stop contractions when they start and I have had to take those four days out of the past two weeks so I'm pretty sure once he takes me off the pills at 37 weeks she will be coming not too much longer after that just becuase the contractions are not stoping on their own. We have had great support from our families during this time to help me out with Dalton while chantz is working and if it wasn't for my grandmother, mother, mother in law, and Brittany, I'm not sure what we would do right now. They have all four been so much help with taking shifts and helping out with preparing the house for the baby to come in so many ways. I am just so thankful for all of them.

On another note Dalton has been having nightmares lately which is really scaring me. All of the sudden he thinks that there are monsters that are going to get him throughout different times during the day and he has to make sure he brings his gun to bed with us at night so that he can kill the monsters if they come to get us. I keep reassuring him that there are no monsters but he doesn't seem to believe me. I just hope this phase ends soon because it's very upsetting to me when he tells me " mommy I'm scared the monsters are going to get me".

On an exciting note, this year for chantz's birthday which was just a couple of days ago on January 25th, Dalton finally used the big boy potty!!!!! I had pretty much given up on trying to get him potty trained since he had no interest and would tell me he was not going to go on there constantly. It's like one day he just woke up and decided hey I want to go on the big boy potty now. so I hope this sticks out and that in the VERY VERY NEAR FUTURE he will be 100% potty trained with no more accidents. That would be nice with little Keylee coming soon so that we go back to just ONE being in diapers and not two.

Here we are 2011!!!

Well it is just crazy to me how long it’s been since I’ve posted. It’s like the whole second back half of 2010 just flew by. We started out the summer finding out some very exciting and important news…..we were pregnant. I thought this was going to be a super easy pregnancy like Dalton’s was however I was majorly wrong. I have been so sick this pregnancy and we have had more scares than I ever thought possible. Right on top of us finding out the good news Chantz’s police academy started. He was elected Class Leader and had a ton of studying ahead of him. My company that I was working for finally was divested and I got promoted to the VP’s secretary for Superior Energy Services when it was all said and done. Day one of the merger happening was also my first day of fall semester PLUS I was still in the first trimester which was the worst sickness wise. Through September and into the beginning of October our lives mainly revolved around school, pregnancy, working and spending time as a family any chance we got. Unfortunately we had some early scares in the pregnancy which ended with us having to give Aggie to a new family. Even though this saddened me greatly, it was necessary and it ended with him being in a better home anyways. With us he had to stay in his crate most of the day while we were all at work and babysitting and our yard is really not big enough for him to run around completely so he really wasn’t getting to “live” that great of a lifestyle. The family that we gave him to has two little boys 10 and 12 who run with him constantly on their acre property home and the Dad gets to stay home with him during the days while the mom is at work and the kids are at school so he really doesn’t ever have to go in a crate. I thought Dalton was going to be really upset and he does still to this day ask where he is but we told him that Aggie went to live with his mommy like he lives with his mommy and Dalton was ok with that. There are times where I want to cry I miss him so much but we had to do what was best for our family and new baby. October 13th we went for the 20 week ultrasound (we as in me, Dalton and my nana because Chantz had to be at the academy) and we had a gender reveal party with all of our friends and family afterwards. I told the ultrasound tech that we didn’t want to know what the gender was but instead to color either pink or blue in a card that I had bought and that night when everyone got there we would open the card and Dalton would reveal which color was used. We did this so that Chantz and I got to find out together at the same time along with all of our friends and family and it was a lot of fun so I’m glad we made that choice. When Dalton opened the card I asked him what color was in there and he said white (the color of the actual inside of the card) and I got impatient and crazy and looked and screamed out it’s a girl!!! We were all so excited beyond words. So October 13th was the day that our second baby became Keylee Marie Humphreys to us. Shortly after this was Halloween which was a lot of fun this year because Dalton was actually old enough to pick out his costume that he wanted to wear. Luckily my best friend moved home in August so she was able to be with us for everything this year including the picking out of the costume which is a story in itself. Brittany, I and Dalton went to all the Halloween stores to try to find something for Dalton to be and everything that we picked out he wanted nothing to do with. Finally we went to party city and we picked out three costumes to try on. One was really cute a little skeleton creature and that’s the one I really wanted him to be. The other two Dalton picked and they were the DJ Lance from Yo Gabba Gabba and a football player. Well he thought he wanted to be the DJ Lance until I put on the football costume….once he was in it he screamed bloody murder when we took it off of him. He wanted to wear it right then in there and not take it off but I needed to pay for it so Brittany had the honor of holding the screaming child who sounded like we were just abusing him in there. On Halloween itself we went to the Houston Zoo for the “boo zoo” with Gigi. It was a lot of fun but it was super packed and extremely hot. Dalton had a good time though playing in the water gym and at the petting zoo. He liked looking at the “Jafar” snake since he was so into Aladdin at this time. He also like looking at the little Abus and the tigers like Jasmin’s. He made Gigi a little pumpkin and got to do some trick or treating while there too. We ran into our friends the Trevinos while there which was neat getting to see them dressed up in their cute little costumes. After we left the zoo we came home to the house where Brittany Scott and Cali came trick or treating with us along with Nana Papa and Hunter. Cali, Dalton and Hunter were all football players and all looked adorable together. Dalton got a ton of candy and had a great time running let me repeat running not walking to the houses. The month of November we were busy again with school getting ready for the semester to end and also with Thanksgiving holidays. Chantz passed his TClose exam on the first try awesome job babe  right before Thanksgiving so we were extremely thankful for that. This year was a little hard it was the first year I was away from my mom for Thanksgiving since I’ve been born. We went to San Antonio to visit with my Dad’s family and spend the holidays with them. We ended up having a great time and it was awesome to get to see everyone. We didn’t know at the time but this would be my grandmothers last holiday so I am extremely glad that we didn’t miss it. Dalton gets so spoiled every time we’re around family it’s just crazy. I don’t know how Aunt Martha and Valerie didn’t just fall over dead with how much they ran and played with him. Right after Thanksgiving was Chantz’s Police Academy Graduation!!! This was really a special night because I was able to pin his badge on and he had a full speech he had to give at the graduation plus he was the one who ended up handing out all of the awards. Just seeing him up there on stage with all of those honors made me so proud and I just wanted to stand up and say yes that is my husband we are so proud of him. He truly did everything he could and gave more than 100% between taking care of my needs with the pregnancy and Dalton and school and trying to balance everything out and here he did it!!! That weekend after his graduation I had a surprise dinner for him at one of his favorite places to eat and with the help of his best friend we were able to shock him with everyone being there. Even friends of his that were in the army with him and he hasn’t seen since February were able to come out and support him which was awesome. He was super surprised and said that was one of the best things anyone has ever done for him Another fun memory of December 2010 was Santa’s Wonderland. We got to attend this event this year up in college station with Uncle Randy Aunt Stephanie and the kiddos which was a BLAST. The kids had such a great time and Stephanie and I loved shopping for little girl stuff for Kyelar and Keylee. We went on a personal horse drawn carriage ride through the lights which were amazing and the kids got to ride the ponies and go into the petting zoo. We didn’t end up leaving there until close to midnight and would you believe all four kids were still running wild as we were trying to get them to load up in the vehicles. That next day however we were hit with some shocking and sad news…my grandma connie had passed away while in surgery that Saturday. I was overwhelmed with emotions both good and bad and so our holidays did not start off looking too great that week. That Thursday before Christmas eve though, we got the best Christmas gift we could’ve gotten. We went to the doctor for another ultrasound because the doctor was concerned that Keylee was not growing properly and we found out that not only is she on track but she is a little AHEAD!!!! She was so cute on the screen trying to grab her little foot and making cute little faces at the screen. Dalton loves loves loves to see his baby sister on the screen. As soon as I tell him we’re going to see her he starts jumping up and down. With that good news, it really did kick of the Christmas spirit just in time for Christmas Eve. Christmas Eve we all went to church and then got SOAKED going to the car which Dalton just thought was hilarious and from there we went to my aunt’s house for the family Christmas. We did a secret santa this year which was really fun and we had a great time with this. Of course Dalton and my younger cousin Hunter were excluded so everyone bought them gifts and Dalton was once again completely spoiled. About half way through Chantz had to leave to go to work which was hard because I haven’t been away from him on Christmas since we’ve been together. Luckily Dalton went home with me and fell asleep in the car and what do you know it when we woke up in the morning Daddy was home and Santa had came to visit. He had eaten all the cookies Dalton and I made for him and drank the milk and he left Dalton a bunch of cool things including his very favorite a buzz lightyear convertible. We got to open presents with Daddy and then Chantz went to bed and Dalton and I played with his toys. Later that day my mom brought some lasagna over, so Chantz got to eat a good meal before he had to once again go back to work. Even though it was hard with Chantz having to work both Christmas even and Christmas day it was nice to just spend the day the three of us instead of running around like our heads were chopped off visiting everybody. We actually got to enjoy Christmas and lay down together by the fire and watch Christmas movies and play with Dalton with his new toys and actually spend some quality time together the three of us. That next weekend brings us to New Years which Chantz also had to work so Dalton and I went to stay at nana and papas house since the fireworks are so bad on our street and they are outlawed in their neighborhood. We had a lot of fun watching the ball go down in New York and Dalton loved it this year because he loves the pop artist Kesha and she performed live at celebration so he was dancing and singing to all of her songs. Since New years Day we’ve been doing just great, getting ready for the babyshower this coming Sunday and trying to get started with keylee’s nursery. I hope we get everything done that we need to before the end of January since she is supposed to be here in February but we will see how that goes….. and hopefully 2011 I will be able to keep up with the posting and not fall months and months behind:):):)

May Overview

May was a busy month for us. We started by picking up Aggie from training and doing his "continuing education" classes on weekends. I had finals which ended the spring semester for me in college. Chantz got accepted to the Police Academy:) Our little pumpking turned 2!!! We got ready for Aggie's first birthday on June 6th and a whole lot more.....

I have more pictures to upload for May I just haven't found the cord still. These are the ones my sil took at his birthday party which was at Northshore Park this year. It was SO hot but SO much fun. This year was so exciting because he was actually able to pick out his theme all on his own and seeing his excitement when the party goods were coming in was just "a kodak moment". He picked Yo gabba gabba which by now in July has gotten on my last nerve haha because it's all he wants to watch. I was so thrilled when I found a special 2nd birthday theme with Gabba on it since he was turning 2!!! We got him a banner that is still in his playroom right now that has all of the gabba characters with his picture on it telling him happy birthday. He refuses to take it down and he STILL gets excited when he walks in there and says Gabba and Dalton and cracks up laughing. Speaking of his laughing the way he really laughs is so funny. When he thinks something is just outrageously funny he will throw his head back and put his hand to cover his mouth and laugh. When he laughs with his head like this it almost sounds like he's snorting so it's really funny. Back to his birthday party he had a great time. He had so much fun playing with his friends and feeding the ducks with them. This was the first year that we had a pinata at his party and at first he was shy and scared of it but as soon as he saw his cousin Kade hit it he wanted the bat and went running up there to whack the heck out of it. We had a two tiered red and yellow cake this year with some matching red cake balls and let me tell you the kids LOVED the cake balls. They couldn't get enough of them. You can see in some of the pictures he got the gabba shirt that matched his party theme and everytime I do the laundry if he sees it in the basket he'll say mommy put gabba shirt on and he'll start taking his shirt off. He is just too much now:):) He got a ton of clothes and toys for his birthday but the one thing he would not take off the entire day was his helmet that goes with his new motorcycle that Gigi and Paul got him. Despite the heat, we had a great time and Dalton was so pooped he crashed as soon as we put him in the car to go home.

This next picture is in preparation for Aggie's first birthday!!! This is a picture of him when we first picked him up. He was only 7 weeks and it's so crazy to me how fast he has grown over this first year. He is HUGE and isn't even fully grown yet. I think at his first year he weighed right around 80 pounds which means he still has 30 to go. He has brought so many funny and loving memories to our family. When you see the movie Marley and Me that really is how our life with him is. He is just like another baby all over again:):)
Right after Dalton's birthday party we took his two year photos. I was so pleased with how they came out this year:):) Looking back at his first year pictures to this year I just want to cry at how quickly it feels like the time has gone by:(

I ended the semester right after Dalton's birthday party which was wonderful. Right before finals we went through a pretty rough time because Dalton came down with pneumonia:( I basically blew through all of my sick time at work because I was out with him for almost two weeks. It was one of the scariest things I've ever been through in my life. When I first took him to the doctor I had to go alone because Chantz couldn't get off work and she told me it sounded like either something was stuck in his wind pipe and they would have to go surgically in and get it or that he is just really inflammed. I immediatly broke out in tears and felt like I was going to throw up. I wanted so bad for it to be me instead of him. Then we were told that we had to go get xrays to see what was actually in there and when we went to the xray room the lady pulled this clear tube standing upright with this wooden circle around it over to us. She told me I needed to strip him down to a diaper and we were going to put him inside this tube and hold his arms up over his head. As soon as she put him in there he started screaming and asking me mommy help mommy get me out and she told me I needed to stop comforting him and let him cry because it would make it easier for his lungs to show what was going on with them. Talk about the worst mother moment in history. My child was stuck in this tube that all I could see was his cheeks smooshed in the plastic and his little nose was sticking out of this hole so he could breathe and I had to hold his arms up in the air and not even comfort him when he was looking to me for help and comfort. I was SO upset. When we left I went and took him home and waited by my phone for the phone call. I felt like the minutes were hours until we got the results. Finally they told us he had pneumonia and they put him on two medicines for it. It was exhausting those next days trying to keep a two year old from running and getting overly excited. Plus on top of this I was trying to play catch up from being away from school on our cruise and get ready for finals. Five days after he first got sick was mothers day. At this point I had been around him for that long that I myself started to feel bad and so Chantz went and picked us up food at the restaurant we were going to go eat at for mothers day and we ate at home instead and spent the day resting and coloring together. It was a pretty neat mothers day because since we were sick we basically couldn't go out and focus on other things like we usually do instead we spent quality time together at home which was really awesome. Dalton ended up healing just in time to have a week of rest before his party which was nice because he was 100% by that time then. I hope I never have to go through something like that again it was the worst feeling in the world being a mom and not being able to do anything to help your child when they're asking you to.
One of the last things that happened in May was Chantz's new truck. I just knew that since I got a new car in January that the "I need a new truck" was coming. Well one day I get a phone call at work saying "the exact truck that I want is here and it's the only one that is made like this and someone is looking to buy it right now so I need to know right this second if I can have it or not otherwise they may buy it and then I'll have passed up on this great truck". Well what do you know that night Chantz came home with this "awesome amazing one of a kind truck":):) It's so funny because he always gets on me for "overexaggerating" when I say can I please have this I really need this it's the last one in this color or my size or whatever but then when I saw the truck I mean don't get me wrong it's beautiful but I'm pretty sure it's not the only one made in the world hahaha. So here it is his new truck (the only one in the world but they actually had a picture online of it hahaha)He is too much too:):)
It came with cloth but they threw in leather for him as part of the deal. Well he brings home all of these swatches of leather and him and I spent a whole night debating what we each thought would look good. The reason I have this picture is because I wanted it a different way but this is actually how he got it with the two toned the dark grey on the outside with light grey on the insides (I thought it would look better all light grey). I have to admit when he brought it home with the leather done it was gorgeous so he was right and he just ate it up when I said the words "wow you were right" hahaha.

Ooops!!

Well I just realized yesterday I left off all of our Cozumel pictures so I am going to post them on here as well. Also I wanted to note that our last day at sea when our boat tipped on its side is when one of the worst environmental disasters happened and a BP oil rig exploded and is now leaking oil into the gulf of Mexico every single day. This happened on April 22nd and still now to June 30th there is oil leaking out every day and it has caused major problems to Lousiana, Alabama and Florida beaches already. There has been talk of it also going around Florida and up the Atlantic Ocean all the way to Europe. This has caused a ban to be put in place on any drilling in the Gulf now which has kind of put a damper on our family since mommy works for an oil company but luckily I'm on the international side so even though our deep water jobs have seized, we still have work thank goodness. This has put such a damper on so many people with their housing, jobs, family loses from those on the rig when it happened, fishermen, restaurants, and the economy in general. Hopefully not too much longer and all of us can start to see the end for this and things get back to normal. I just wanted to add that since it is now the biggest oil spill to date.

Our Cruise and Remainder of April 2010

We finally got to go on our "honeymoon" this past April. We took a five day cruise to the carribbean on the carnival ecstasy. This was my second cruise and before this cruise I thought I knew evertyhing about cruises until I found out that one of the worst things I ever thought could happen to me happened on this trip. The start of the trip was great we were enjoying ourselves, eating a ton of food, relaxing by the pool with our drinks and just enjoying the peace. The pictures are in backwards order and some of them we took and some of them the cruise took and we bought. The frist day at sea was when we pulled out which was mostly just safety briefings and sail away parties followed by dinner. Destiny and Joey went on the cruise with us and the first night Destiny and I felt nauseated so we all went to sleep pretty early. When we woke up the next day it was pretty gloomy outside and we thought the day was going to be a dud until the sun came out:):) Destiny and I pretty much spent most of our day laying out by the pool with our coconut drinks enjoying the wonderful breeze and the island music. Later that night wasw formal night which we all had a blast dressing up for. The cruise takes so many wonderful pictures of you that night that it's hard to decide which ones you really want to buy and which ones you're going to leave behind. That night we gambled a little bit and I actually played craps for the first time and won some money and then we all went to a adult comedy show later. The next day we were up extremely early getting ready to get off the boat for Progresso, Mexico our first port. Progresso was an adventure in itself. When we got off the buses that bring you to the actual port we heard of an adventure that you can go on where all drinks, food and jetskis, massages on the beach and everything was included. Well we decided to take up the people on this offer and go along with it. We were so nervous at first because some guy took our cash and then walked off and told us to meet him back there in an hour and we would leave for the resort. Well we kept thinking we had just gotten scammed but we didn't and they actually came back to get us. We got on the bus with these CRAZY people that were on the other carnival boat. They were very interesting and amusing with the things that were coming out of their mouths. When we got to the resort it was beautiful with the pretty pool and beach however there were no jetskis which is what we REALLY wanted to do and the whole reason that we paid to go on this excursion. Well come to find out, they weren't running during this time of the eyar is what they told us so we were pretty disappojnted. However, we still had a great time and ate and drank a whole bunch and had a ton of fun swimming around in the pool. When we got back we shopped around for a little while and then got back on the boat to head for dinner time. One funny story about dinner is that we kept saying the waiter had a crush on Destiny. We said this because she would always get special appetizers and desserts that she didn't even order meanwhile none of us did haha. He would always refill her drink and leave all of ours un filled it was pretty funny and Joey was cracking me up with his thoughts on the whole thing. That next day was Cozumel where we swam with the dolphins at Chankannab. I have been where you get to touch the dolphins and hug them before but nothing like what we got to do this time. This was the favorite part of the whole trip for both Chantz and I and is something we will both remember for the rest of our lives. We actually got pushed up in the air by our feet where we were floating on the water and we got to hold on to their fins and be carried across the water on them which was also amazing. The other awesome thing about this day was we got to run into my Uncle and his friend that has known me since I was a baby here. They were on another cruise the same time we were but we couldn't find them in Progresso but somewhow they made it to here and we got to spend some time with both of them catching and throwing all these beautiful fish at each other in the crystal clear water. I could have just stayed in that beach forever it was so beautiful and the water was go gorgeous. We met back up with Destiny and joey at Senor Frogs later that day to eat and have some drinks. Then it was time to get back on the boat and back to dinner again. This night we were so worn out from the day that we actually just relaxed and went to the back of the boat and laid under the sky looking at the stars together so it was very nice to just have some actual time to just not have five million things to do and just be able to enjoy spending some time together. That next day was our last day at sea and this was when the wrost imaginiable thing happened to me. We got up and went and ate some breakfast and laid out by the pool relaxing some more before we were going to be home. Well the cruise had misplaced one of our pictures from formal night so we decided to go and ask them to look it up and reprint if or us. Just as we're standing there and I'm confirming which one Chantz says why does it feel like we're leaning to one side?? I kept telling him don't worry about it you're just imagining it when all of the sudden the picture sign comes fliying down from the other side of the boat almost hitting me. Chantz grabbed me and we ran for the other side o the boat. We were standing behind a column that was there for decoration and watching as the other side of the boat was in the water and the water was coming right up to the glass on that side of the ship. All we c and things falling all over the place. We really thought we were going to flip over and I honestly had no idea what to do and thank goodness the boat started leaning back to the normal way otherwise we probably would've jumped. We were so glad that next morning to be home after this crazy occurance happened on the last day. They said it was to avoid a buoy that was int eh ocean it's just so hard for me to actually believe that they didn't see until last minute that they needed to turn that hard when there were NO waves that day in the ocean it was like we were sailing on glass. During this time we were on vacation Aggie was getting trained at Mans Best Friend. Let me tell you this place did an amazing job with him too. We went to pick him up the first weekend in May and it was like we saw a different dog. Not to little after that though Dalton got pneumonia which was the worst thing ever. I was scared to death that something was going to happen to him. Luckily, he didn't have to get hospitalized and was better just in time for his birthday and birthday party that we threw him. I'll be posting those pictures along with other fun in the sun pictures from May and June hopefully this week or next.
