Christmas Parties

I will probably only post one other time this week and that will be our Christmas Cards. I have to go pick them up tonight and then I'll post them. I know we're suuuuper late I have just been way behind this December. Luckily most of them don't have to travel very far and they should make it by Christmas Eve still:) The past two weekends we have had our Company Christmas Parties to go to. Chantz's was at Incredible Pizza back on the 11th and I am so glad they had it there. Dalton had a BLAST!!! I love seeing all of the kids play together and have a ton of fun. Santa even came to visit and had a present for each of the kids. We just gave Dalton his because we knew he wasn't going to go near Santa for anything hahaha even if it was a toy. The new First Sargent gave all of the kids a free $10 game card and then we bought another $20 one for Dalton so he had a blast playing. We did bowling, glow in the dark putt putt, a ton of rides in kiddie land, the merry go round and of course all those games that let you win lots of tickets. At the end of the night Dalton won a blow up guitar and a sponge bob football with his tickets;) And some sweet little boy that was there won him a TON of dinosaurs to play with.

Then this past weekend on Saturday was my Company Christmas Party. I work with the assembly department so we all decided to have ours at Kobe Japanese Steakhouse. Let me tell you if you have never eaten there, DO it's amazing!!!! And Dalton behaved wonderful because they cook right in front of you so he watched everything that was going on. Some of our employees couldn't make it but we still had a great time.
Then on Sunday we had to chill out and do some of my school work for my mini mester class. Dalton was chilling in his pajamas when I realized, he was sticking my keys in the gas on/off switch!! He thought it was a key hole hahaha.

I love how he's standing so proud of himself like look mommy I did it!!! Later that day Brittany came to see us because she's in town and we were SOOOOO happy to see her. Her and I have been best friends for years and she moved to California right after we graduated high school and can only come down so often. But the good news is she's home for a whole week!!! And she just told us that she's moving home permanently in less than a year!!! So we are super happy about that.

I thought I would show you just the mantel in our house right now for our Christmas decorations. I'll show you both our living room and dining room trees hopefully this week before Christmas, HA!!!

These Mister and Mrs. Santa Clauses are VERY OLD they are like 40 years old and I even had to glue back Mrs. Clause's poor head because it had fallen off in the bin this year. My grandmother made these a very long time ago and I hope they can stay in tact so I can one day give them to my kids.

This of course if my FAVORITE Christmas decoration in the house!!! I just love that little Santa, he's so darn cute I could eat his cheeks!!

I didn't do too much this year I wanted to keep it simple and the reason there are twigs on one side and not the other is because my little baby boy grabbed them out and ran around the house with them laughing:):) I just took this picture before I had put them back so it looks silly.

This is my favorite new decoration this year. It's a night light that has this glitter goo that moves around in the snowman and I love to just watch it.

I got to eat lunch with this little man today and it was a WONDERFUL surprise!!! My mom is watching him this weekend since school is out so she brought him to cracker barrel by my job so I could get to eat with him too!!! He loved sitting in these BIG rocking chairs!!!

Who's Daddy's Buddy???

So Dalton has been doing this really cute thing lately when Chantz asks him "who's daddy's buddy" he will yell "ME". He first did it at the end of last week but last night was the first time I had heard it and it was just adorable!!!

Also, I was snuggling with Aggie last night and realized that he is now 6 Months!!! He was born June 13th which means on Sunday he officially turned 6 months. Everyone knows what that means....for Christmas he is getting FIXED!!! I can't wait. They say that it will help calm them down some and I hope it calms him down ALOT, ha.
This is a picture of our Aggie that the breeder emailed to me when he was little bitty. He was just a little bigger than this when we first got him and how he has grown to the HUGE bear he has become beats me. We love him though and Dalton would just be lost without him now. They are best friends and as soon as we get home immediatley Dalton starts calling "Aggie, Aggie". And let me tell you he must be made out of armour because he has now eaten a whole bottle of flinstone vitamins, licked up some amoxcillian, and eaten about three glass ornaments that Dalton broke on the floor and this crazy dog is still here and better than ever. I was crazy scared each and every time but thankfully he pulled through all of them and now I am hoping there are no more instances like this. So Happy Birthday Aggie I can't believe you are already 6 Months old and even though you drive me crazy sometimes I love you with all my heart!!!

Dallas Trip

Well the first weekend in December we headed our way to Dallas as it was snowing in Houston. Luckily the roads were great and we didn't hit any really bad weather because no one down here really knows how to drive in it. We went up there because Chantz was invited to play on a flag football team in the state championship game. Our hotel and gas were paid for and then Chantz got paid for playing so it was a nice way to get away for a little while and have some extra spending money for Christmas. Dalton loved jumping on the beds as you can see in the pictures.
But he didn't really like being cooped up in the room. I think he just gets chlostrophobic in hotel rooms because when we were in Florida for our Disney Trip he did great but we were in our timeshare which is the size of a small house but everytime since he's been born if we're in a hotel room he gets so fussy. He kept going to the door and saying buh bye and then he wold bring me his shoes. Saturday when daddy had to go play, Dalton and I packed up and drove to Fort Worth to see Uncle Robert. We were going to go to the zoo with him but since it was only 23 degrees there they said over 90% of the animals were up. Uncle Rob and I joked about so what are you going to do in Africa if they ever get a freeze hahaha go around and build a bunch of heated cages for them to go into?? After finding this out we took Dalton to Trinity Park to play with the ducks.
Dalton had a blast running through all the leaves and kicking his sponge bob ball around.
Him and Uncle Robert were running up that very big hill and I was very nervous at the bottom. I just kept seeing Dalton rolling down the hill in my mind but luckily that didn't happen:)
Dalton loved playing with the ducks he was telling them "wack wack" whenever they would start talking to him. He even said it in this funny raspy voice which was hilarious. We bought him a new lightning mcqueen beanie with the matching gloves and to my surprise he actually kept them on while we were out. Last year he wouldn't keep them on for anything so that was wonderful that he did this year. AND he was holding his little toy truck tube that had candy in it and would not let go of that thing no matter what. Luckily Daddy's team was out by the end of the first day so we were able to go and eat dinner with him at Outback and go shopping in the Galleria there in Dallas. It was decorated Beautiful and they had a christmas tree that reminded me so much of rockefeller center I kept imagining we were in New York!!! That next morning we ate a good breakfast and headed home. When we all woke up we were stuffed up and coughing really bad.
Our little angel was AMAZING in the car there and back which totally shocked me. Usually he has a fit but this time he was GREAT!!! That next day I took off with him because him and I were not any better and we went to go to the doctor.
And of course because Mommy is a softie and daddy wasn't there to tell her no Dalton got to open a christmas present.
I just felt so bad for him the poor little man couldn't breathe and was so miserable so I knew this would make him feel better.
Plus this is a doodle pro that is for the car and he got a bigger one for the house also for Christmas so I figured he could get this one opened already and start using it.
And that little one has so many presents under the tree and I don't want him to be overwhelmed Christmas morning so it couldn't hurt to let him open one ya know, ha!! But now the hard part is he thinks he can just go under the tree and pick out a present and open it...woops!!!

2 Nights In a Row!!

This little man has slept in his own bed for the full night for two nights in a row!!! Usually he starts out in his bed but will get up in the middle of the night and come to ours. It all started when we took his crib apart and we felt bad making him sleep on the floor so we would bring him in bed with us. Well then he didn't want to sleep anywhere but in our bed .
Now with almost being completely done with his room we wanted him to be able to sleep in his new bed and he has for the past two nights all the way through the night!!!! Good Job Dalton!!!!
Last night before bed he went and sat in front of the tree just admiring it and I thought it was just adorable I had to grab some pics. I LOVE these Santa's Helper pjs on him with his little reindeer feet that GiGi bought him!!! He went and sat on Santa last night or should I say screamed when Santa came near him. We had to get in the picture with him and even with us there and him sitting on us and no where NEAR Santa he still had a flip out fit and the pictures didn't turn out very well.
Hopefully by next year he's back to his old self and will sit on him because last year when he was 6 months he did GREAT and smiled and loved it and this year he SCREAMED and hated it.

Well it is SNOWING!!!! I am so happy. Last year was Dalton's first Christmas and it snowed and then this year it snowed also. Let me just tell you this is not normal for it to snow every year so it's so exciting that ever since Dalton's been here it's snowed!!!! Here are some pics from last year. I will post some of this year next week. We will be heading to Dallas tonight for Chantz's flag football team. It is the state championship so lets hope they win!!! Just for all of you in the north to laugh everyone is shutting down early and all of us are dancing around outside and it's not even sticking to the ground:):):)

First Pony Ride at the Renissance Festival

So the morning after Thanksgiving Chantz and I got up VERY early and went shopping during Black Friday. This was the first year we have done this together. I used to go with my parents when I was younger and LOVED it, but haven't been in years. When we were looking at the adds on Thanksgiving we found the camera that I had been wanting and so we decided that we would go and get it while it was on sale. Best Buy and Ritz both had it and even though it was cheaper at Best Buy I didn't want to wait in those long crazy lines there so we hit Ritz instead. We were actually surprised it didn't take us that long to get it at Ritz there were only like two other people in the store. We stopped at JCPennys on the way out and got two one pound down pillows that have improved our sleeping ALOT so far and then we went to Toys R Us to see what they had out. Let me tell you that place was pretty funny!!! We just got a couple of things but people were knocking things over everywhere and running and scrambling through the aisles like it was a life or death matter. We only had to wait about 15 minutes in line and I got to look around while Chantz waited so it wasn't really bad at all. We were right near Target after that and chantz said why don't we just go in there to laugh at everyone. Well let me tell you this store was CRAZY!!! The line just to check out was over a 4 HOUR WAIT!!! Are people insane?? I mean I could never wait that long in line to check out with my things I don't care how much money I was saving. And that was just to check out in the entertainment area to check out in the normal lines was even longer. The line wrapped around the whole entire store TWICE with going in and out of aisles. We thought it was just hilarious to watch all of these people act so silly. We went to eat a good breakfast at Dennys which was very nice to take a break from all the shopping. Then we went home and I started putting up the Thanksgiving decorations while Chantz got ready for the Renissance. Gigi and Dalton arrive shortly after and we were on our way!!!
We thought it was going to be fairly empty because of all the shopping going on for Black Friday. We were terribly wrong. I guess because everyone had their family in town for Thanksgiving they took all of them to the Renissance the next day!!! It was packed!!!
I love this picture because I have one of the two of them in front of the same thing last year.
Dalton was so tiny back then!!!
And this year he's my big boy!!!
He was playing around and got to throw a penny into the water to make a wish.
I think he wanted the penny back though after he threw it:)
And then he saw the merry go round and he was going on it whether we wanted him to or not!!!

GiGi and Dalton had such a fun time on the merry go round.
He waved every time he would pass by Mommy and Daddy.
Dalton got to experience his first Pony Ride while we were here. I know there's a lot of pictures but it was his first ride and I just had to get a ton for memories:)
He looked so graceful riding that pony!!!;)
He was so excited when they first started moving. I think it reminded him of how he rides Aggie hahaha. Only Aggie goes WAY faster than they do.

He did NOT want to get off when the ride was over. GiGi was trying so hard to make it seem like ok it's fun to get off the horse haha. He probably would've rode that pony all day if we let him.

We had a great time walking around and EATING!!! I just love the food there. We got a sausage on a stick, a hamburger, steak on a stick, funnel cakes, pretzels, and a chocolate covered banana.
Dalton had a great time running around he just kept thinking that we were playing "chase" with him so we got our work outs:):)
And of course Dalton loves when we go to the store that has all of the wind chimes.
There was one that the pipes were bigger than Chantz and it was 1600.00. Whoa that's a lot of money for a windchime!!!
This year we were actually able to sit down and watch the full show of the Jousting.
We were cheering for the red and blue knight!!
GiGi bought Dalton a sword and a shield. Now he is really a knight!!!
We just hope that he doesn't hit us with that thing because it is made solid out of wood. That would hurt!!!Our little man slept the whole way home he was so pooped from the adventureous day he had.
When we got home we started the Christmas decorations!!! We only got as far as pulling the bins down though so we decorated all of it on Saturday. We got both of our trees up and decorated the mantle is done and our village is out. The only thing we're still working on is the entertainment center. This was our first year with two trees and I absolutely LOVE them both. Here is just a taste of the tree in our dining room.
And this is just adorable. Dalton LOVED the trees. When we lit it all up he ran over and said "I ove eit" so he LOVES our tree;) He thought it was a fort at first and was trying to lay under it with me while I was trying to set up our santa ski slope. We decided that we just wouldn't do it this year because we know Aggie would chew it and Dalton would take the cars off of the slope and they would all probably be missing. So that won't be brought out until next year. I just love it because I played with one when I was younger and I went and bought one last year because I want my kids to share that fun that I had. It was very hard to find because they stopped making them like 10 years ago but I finally found one after looking long and hard!!!:):):)
This is a picture of one of the balls that Dalton was trying to put on the tree. This is the tree in our living room and he was trying to help decorate it and when I would give him a ball ornament he would just lay it inside of the tree:):)
Aggie has been WONDERFUL with the trees luckily but I don't want to jinx myself by saying that. He has chewed one of the presents though so we had to go buy another one. It was unwrapped though so I can understand a little...or maybe I'm just being super forgiving because it's Christmas time:):)
We went to Garden Ridge and Lowes on Saturday and bought all the stuff we needed to decorate the house. We're almost finished and when we are I'll take a picture of the whole thing to show you. Lets just say our house looks like one big candy cane!!!:) Chantz did an AWESOME job with the lights he got all the way on the second story which is very steep and I can honestly say it looks like a professional job!!!! Thanks for all your hard work babe, you did a wonderful job:)
