I know this is extremely late but I am just now getting around to posting our Christmas Memories. Christmas Eve is when we spent Christmas with my Dad and step mom. They came over around lunch time and we ate and opened presents with them. Dalton got a ton of clothes and a ride on radio rocket filled with wooden cars and airplanes inside the storage seat. When they left we went to church service. Last year I had to walk out with Dalton during the service so we were nervous about this year. Thankfully, Dalton did amazing and stayed in his seat quietly during the whole service. I haven't uploaded the pictures from when my Dad and step mom were with us or of Dalton playing in the snow and with the live nativity at our church. We got to service early and met up with Nana, Papa, Uncle Robert and John John since they had went to the service before ours. We got Dalton something to eat at the cafe and we went to find his Class that he will be getting enrolled for when he turns two. Dalton was so excited to see all of the little kids and they had Santa, who he was NOT thrilled to see, a penguin, an elf and frosty the snowman all there to say hello to and take pictures with. At our church all of the services are always PACKED so we went and got our seats and enjoyed the magnificant service that Pastor Kerry held. When it was over we went to nana's house for tradition in our family of Christmas Eve calzones and chivilet.

This is when we always open our presents from the grandparents and aunts and uncles. Dalton had so much fun at nana's opening all of his presents.

We have this exact same picture of him last year with his presents from then all around him. I put them next to each other and couldn't believe the difference. I feel like it was just yesterday that he was having his first Christmas.

Everyone always sits in a circle and we go one by one to open a present. It takes longer but it's nice to see what everyone gets and their face reactions rather than us all jumping in at once to open presents.

Gammy and Uncle Robert being silly. They were the only two out of the brothers and sisters this year because usually my Aunt Carol is there but this year her and her family spent Christmas in Disney.
Dalton kept running around everytime he would open one present. He even tried on Uncle Robs reading glasses:) That is one of his newest things is to put on glasses lately I don't know what it is with him because when he was small I would have to literatly FIGHT him to keep some sun shades on and now he wears them even when it's dark outside.
Dalton was so excited when he opened Uncle Aaron's present that he got for Dalton. It was a HUGE red back filled with all of Dalton's favorite things. In there was a nerf football that Dalton went completely inside of the bag to get out:):)
I couldn't get a picture of it that wasn't blurry but it was hilarious to watch him go into the bag. That was it once he opened that and his kitchen from nana and papa he didn't want anything else to do with his other presents.
As you can tell by his face expression he is mad that I was "disturbing" his play time with the kitchen and his Poppy:) He has an attitude that has developed out of nowhere and we're doing everything in our power to help him control his moody fits that he gets. Alright terrible twos we're in our gear and ready for you lol.
At one point Poppy had to go outside to take the trash out and Dalton went CRAZY. He was crying and yelling and when one of us would try to get him away from the door he would kick and scream. Yes I know wonderful way for my child to act on Christmas Eve. We're working on the tamper tantrums.
He had such a good time throwing touchdowns between him and Uncle Robert. We taught him how when we say ok catch it he sticks his hands out right in his chest where his elbows are WAY back behind his back and he scoots back to try to catch the ball:)

Dalton's other new thing is to say "touchdown" and throw his one hand in the air. He says it when football comes on the tv and he sees everyone cheering. He said "pootball" and we are 100% sure that he LOVES football so hopefully next year we'll take him to a game with us and he can say "touchdown". His favorite teams are the Florida Gators and Dallas Cowboys go figure hahaha. He takes after Daddy and Mommy but as soon as he sees Tim Teebow even if he's not in uniform he says "pootball" and same with Tony Romo. If you ask him who's our favorite player he will say Teetow and when you ask him who's going to win in football he'll say Romo.
Our family has a tradition that on Christmas Eve we sing happy birthday to baby Jesus and we have his birthday cake for dessert. This year was pretty funny because my Uncle John who is known in our family for going back for thirds and fourths was the first one at the table for Jesus's birthday cake. It was only him and Ramsey the table begger that were there and all of the rest of us were finishing presents. We kept saying where's John John and then we looked and saw him in the breakfast room and started cracking up.
Dalton did a great job this year of singing happy birthday he just sings happy over and over again and he also said the blessing at our Christmas meal which was "Jesus tayne tou food eat amen"
We thought it was super cute how Ramsey and Dalton were the same height when they were both begging Uncle Robert to pick them up. Ramsey wanted to eat but Dalton really wanted to sit on him and snuggle. That's my lovely little boy the other attitude is when he's Chantz's hahaha.

After Dalton and his Uncle Aaron finished their wrestling matches on Nana's floor we decided to go ahead and take our little man home.

We set out cookies for Santa

when we got home and then Dalton had to go to sleep so Santa could set up his toys in our living room for him.

When Dalton came down the stairs Christmas morning he was all smiles as soon as he saw the living room floor COVERED in things that Santa had brought for him.

At first you could tell he was a little overwhelmed and in shock but then once he realized it was all for him to play with he got down and started running around.

It took forever unwrapping one present at a time because then he would want to get it out and play with that one for like twenty minutes before I could get him to open another one.

Uncle Aaron had stayed the night with us and he did a great job of helping us with opening presents with Dalton. We pretty much opened presents all day long:)

And if you tried to tell Dalton look do this side first or anything like that he would give you his mean look like don't talk to me let me do it myself.

The rest of Christmas we spent putting toys together and playing with them. We had the christmas lunch at our house this year where we make baked ziti. My family is italian that is why we have all these weird italian foods that are made from scratch through the recipes that have been passed on by generations for the christmas holidays.
Nana, Papa, Gammy, Tim, Uncle Aaron, Uncle Robert and Uncle John came over to eat with us and then watch some Christmas movies.

I feel like every year I say this was the best Christmas but it just seems like every year it gets better and better.
