We had a super fun weekend. Saturday I woke up very early to go with Papa and volunteer working at
Habitat for Humanity, which is a Christian housing organization that works together to help build homes for families in need. It was an AMAZING experience. I have always wanted to go and help but never got the chance. This was the first time I had the opportunity and I LOVED it. It was just wonderful knowing I was giving my time to help families have a home. I think it is a great organization and it was awesome to be able to give back to God for everything that he has given me. When I got home on Saturday it was already dinner time and we had tickets to the Aeros game that night. So we took Dalton over to my mom's house and he hung out over there while we went to the game. We would've taken him but we just don't think hockey games are the right atmosphere for him with all the fighting and drunkness that happens there. It was a ton of fun and a very exciting "date night".

In honor of Veterans Day being near they had military appreciation throughout the game. The cheerleaders, which Chantz and I didn't even know they had cheerleaders for hockey but they did, were all dressed up in camo outfits and they had races and dance offs between the different branches in the military. They had this blow up Marine Solider outside and even though it's "marines" I had to take a picture of him.

Our seats were AWESOME!!! We were right near the glass and on top of the one goal. I have been to a couple of Aeros games in the past and this one was the best. I have never seen this much fighting in one game before. I swear I thought the glass was going to break multiple times but I guess that stuff is made extra tough because it held up :):)

We were playing San Antonio so there was actually some fans there from the other team I guess since it wasn't too far away to travel? The regulars and the fans from the other team were just hilarious. They were cracking Chantz and I up with their cheers and chants that they would yell at various times. We ended up winning 5-2 and it was an amazing game. It didn't let out until around 10:30 and then we got lost as usual when we're in downtown we always get lost and can never find out how to get back to 45 haha so by the time we got home it was around 11:30 and then we talked with Aaron and my mom for a little while so we were super tired on Sunday. Chantz got up with Aggie and Dalton and let me sleep in which was wonderful, thanks babe!!! Then we just went grocery shopping for the week and stayed home and enjoyed time with Dalton. It kept looking like it was going to rain and it would drizzle every now and then so we watched football and Dalton and I watched movie after movie and played in his playroom. Yes it's filthy haha but we cleaned it before we went to sleep that night. Here we were watching Brother Bear and Dalton was thinking he was controlling the movie by the playstation remote in his hand because he's used to the xbox when watching movies in the living room:)

The only thing that could've made this weekend better if it was longer:):):) Why does it feel like they keep shrinking haha.

Sounds like you had a great weekend, too! I have always wanted to go to a hockey game but have never been. I've heard they can be pretty entertaining, and it sounds like yours was no exception! I'm so glad you and Chantz had a "date night."
That will be fun I'm sure when you take Dalton to a Texans game. We'll be cheering for the Dallas Cowboys on Thanksgiving :)
It's nice to know you can relate to my dogs not doing well when we left them with our family. Your chiuahuah and mom's dog sounded similar!
Cosmo seems to be recuperating well from his surgery yesterday, so now we just wait to hear the results. . .
Hi again! Thank you for the comment last week with your well wishes for Cosmo, Logan, and me. They worked :) I am relieved I'm feeling back to normal now so that I can enjoy Thanksgiving. That is too bad that you were sick last year - I hope this year is a great one for you!
I'm glad I'm not the only one whose son acts different when his mom is sick!
That is so funny that Dalton has to collect every ball, too!
Hope you guys had a good weekend!
What a fun date night! Ryan & I need to go see a hockey game here in H-town. That's one thing we havent' done.
P.S. I din't even think about the fact that I had my sleeves rolled up in November! That goes to show you that I'm spoiled here. haha.
