2011 so far...

Well so far 2011 has been pretty crazy. We've been adjusting to chantz's new schedules at the police department which has definitely been a challenge on all of us but we're pushing through it. We got a chance to take some pregnancy pictures this time around which was really neat and I love the way they look in her nursery. I'll have to post the pictures on here when the link it working because right now it's not connecting to our session. On January 9th my best friend through me a baby shower for Keylee and it was such a blast. We made tutus, onesies, bloomers and played some fun games also. It is so amazing to see how truly blessed we are to have such loving and caring people in our lives and we are so thankful for all of them. Keylee got plenty of beautiful and thoughful gifts that I look forward to her getting to use in the next month. The weekend right after the shower I wanted to start rushing around to get everything I needed to set up her nursery and get that finished...well I guess I overdid myself becuase I went into premature labor that night. On Sunday January 16th my mom took me to the hospital and the nurses had to give me injections to stop the labor because Keylee is still not mature enough to come out just yet. The injections cause her heartrate to go way higher than the "safe zone" which was the most nerve racking thing I've ever been through in my life. Luckily the first two doses were enough to stop the contractions and my heartrate went to high that they couldn't give me the third dose and I pretty much didn't need it anyways so that worked out to help her heartrate not continue to rise. The next day my mom took me to the doctor and he put me on bed rest from then until the end of the pregnancy with absolutely no excersice except for getting up to use the restroom. I am not someone who likes to sit still and especially when I have a list of 100 things that need to be done before my baby gets here so this has been extremely hard for me to do but knowing that it will keep my daughter safe and allow her to continue to grow I am able to stick it out. My doctor did give me pills to stop contractions when they start and I have had to take those four days out of the past two weeks so I'm pretty sure once he takes me off the pills at 37 weeks she will be coming not too much longer after that just becuase the contractions are not stoping on their own. We have had great support from our families during this time to help me out with Dalton while chantz is working and if it wasn't for my grandmother, mother, mother in law, and Brittany, I'm not sure what we would do right now. They have all four been so much help with taking shifts and helping out with preparing the house for the baby to come in so many ways. I am just so thankful for all of them.

On another note Dalton has been having nightmares lately which is really scaring me. All of the sudden he thinks that there are monsters that are going to get him throughout different times during the day and he has to make sure he brings his gun to bed with us at night so that he can kill the monsters if they come to get us. I keep reassuring him that there are no monsters but he doesn't seem to believe me. I just hope this phase ends soon because it's very upsetting to me when he tells me " mommy I'm scared the monsters are going to get me".

On an exciting note, this year for chantz's birthday which was just a couple of days ago on January 25th, Dalton finally used the big boy potty!!!!! I had pretty much given up on trying to get him potty trained since he had no interest and would tell me he was not going to go on there constantly. It's like one day he just woke up and decided hey I want to go on the big boy potty now. so I hope this sticks out and that in the VERY VERY NEAR FUTURE he will be 100% potty trained with no more accidents. That would be nice with little Keylee coming soon so that we go back to just ONE being in diapers and not two.

OMG -- Logan has been waking up scared to death, too! He has been doing it every single night so I'm getting a bit overwhelmed because I am wondering if this is going to continue to July and then I will have to get up with TWO kids in the night! :( So it's nice to know I'm not the only one! I always rush in there because his scream is so horrific and then he says, "Something scared me!" We've had to remove most of his toys because he was convinced they were "looking" at him. No matter how much we reassure him that his room is safe he doesn't seem to be able to help it. It must be a phase. . .hopefully both our boys will grow out of it soon!

I'm so glad the doctors were able to stop your premature labor! I can imagine that was a scary experience. :(

Yeay Dalton for using the potty!
