Laundry Time

So last night Chantz and I were folding the laundry when Dalton started doing his normal routine of taking out and unfolding everything in the basket that was already folded, when he came to one of my bras. He put it on and was walking around the house with it on him. It was the funniest thing. Then when he took it off he was holding it and dragged it across the floor with him until he finally brought it and handed it to daddy. It was too funny.

Dalton's First Hair Cut

We got Dalton's hair cut for the first time on Friday July 3rd just in time for the holiday:) He did sooo good. I thought he was going to have a hard time and scream and yell but he didn't even move he just played in the chair and was watching what she was doing. The hardest part that he had with it was looking down he kept wanting to turn to see what she was doing back there but he needed to look down so she could even it up back there. No more curls:( Chantz is upset becuase he liked his long curly hair but I love it short he looks like such a big boy:):) We got his hair cut at snip its in the woodlands mall and it's right by the merry go round so right after his hair cut since he was so good he got to go on the merry go round with Gammy. At snipits they give the kids this card that they have to hold onto for the whole haircut and then they can stick it in this machine and it pops out a toy. It was really neat. They get a lolipop too but we got Dalton dippin dots instead after the merry go round. He did such a great job I was super proud of him:):)

4th Of July!!!

We had a fantastic Fourth except for one thing...Dalton chipped his front tooth:( Our good friends the Trevinos came over. Jace and Dalton just played and played and played and then they played some more :):) they went in the pool and did fireworks (which our neighbors were scaring them so we didn't get to finish ours but they still had fun doing our little ones)and played inside and watched go diego go and ate hotdogs together. It is so cute everytime I see them together it makes me so happy inside. Destiny said that Jace kept calling Dalton's name that night and the next two days:( They miss each other after they spend the day together and that is just precious:) I can just tell already that they are going to be little dare devils together. Jace opens the door handle and then dalton flings the door back and out they go. It is so nice that we have great friends like The Trevino Family because the whole family gets along and it's wonderful because we all always have a great time when we're together. They're those kind of friends that you're like wait a minute are you my sister/brother or just my friend:) They think like we do, have common interest and goals and are in like the exact same stage of life that we are. We're so lucky to have them!!! Lets see Dalton's favorite fireworks were the ones that you pull the string and it pops out and then the sparklers but he was chasing chantz to try to get them out of his hand because he wanted to hold them but we wouldn't let him. He liked the tanks and the fountains. He did not like firecrackers at all. In fact we had to go stay the night at my mom's house July 4th night because three people on our block had bought like those 250 firecracker packs were lighting them all at once and they were scaring Dalton. I made an american flag cake out of cool whip blueberries and strawberries and it was really yummy. It was just a wonderful weekend with the holiday and having the extra time off with each other:):)

A little late for Friday Garage and Backyard Day!!!

Sorry I'm late for show us where you live Friday, but it was crazy busy with the holiday. I didn't get a chance to take pictures of our garage but it's just a regular two car garage that only has a baby swing, high chair, lawn tools, trashcan and a couple of bins in it. Right now it's just serving as overflow of our attic becuase we have so much baby stuff and decorations and a place for my car to go so it's not 300 degrees inside in the mornings when I take Dalton to the babysitters. Our backyard however we have done alot of work to. When we bought our house you couldn't even walk in the backyard because the builder left it all CLAY. That's right not mud or dirt but discusting clay with EVERYTHING imaginable in it left from the construction crews. But this is what we turned it into. We had the help of my grandpa,grandma, brother and cousin. But other than that it was just Chantz and I and I can't believe that it's actually finally all done and that we're still alive. I absolutley love how it turned out. Chantz my grandpa, brother and cousin built the whole deck 10 x 20 in like four hours one day (crazy.) We bought the gazebo, chandelier and furniture and then we made the flower garden with palms in the one corner and then the other corner is a veggie garden which is growing like crazy as you can see with cucumbers, blackberries, cherry tomatoes, squash and green beans. We planted a tree for some more shade since right now there is none and then we also made Dalton's playground that's filled with playground mulch. My grandparents laid the beautiful sod that is in the back Thank you guys so much I can't believe they weren't dead when I got home becuase it started raining half way through it and they still kept going just for us. We added a little more of a tropical theme to match our palm trees by adding the lava rock border around the deck and lining it with tiki torches which help keep bugs away along with out tea light chandelier that burns citronella. And of course for winter that wonderful chiminea was chantz's christmas present last year. Well one of them:) And the grill my mom bought us for a housewarming present Thanks mom!!!

Back to Nacagdoches

We went to see Pop again in Nacadoges a couple of weekends ago and we went to pet the horses this time:) This was Dalton's first time near horses so it was really neat to see him interacting with them. He loved when they make that phhh phhh sound. He was trying to stick his fingers in their nostrels also but other than that he did really good with them. Luckily they were very friendly and kept blowing air on his hair and coming near him which would make him laugh.









Gigi came with us to Pops this time and this is her and Dalton filling the water barrels for the horses while daddy was bringing the truck around so we could drive over there to see them. Pop own a ton of land and the horses decided to be all the way on the other side of it so we drove instead of walk:)

Ok I am new to the blog hop so I may not get this down the first time;) This week is your favorite picture so this is my favorite picture. This is a picture of Dalton between 5 and 6 months. It was the weekend before halloween and he was sitting on his swing while we were carving pumpkins (which included a baby one of him). I love looking at other old pictures of him along with this one because sometimes when I look at him now I feel like I forget how little he used to be. I can't believe how fast he has grown and I am so glad I took a ton plus some of pictures when he was a baby:)

Hunter's Birthday Party

Sunday June 28th we celebrated our cousin Hunter's 10th birthday. It was at Rob Fleming Pool in The Woodlands. Holy cow this neighborhood pool is like a mini splashtown. Guess that's what you get when you live in mansions lol. We had alot of fun. We had bought Dalton floaties earlier that day at Walmart (the baby kind) and he wore them for the first time here:):) I have pictures of him in them on the water camera that is in the process of getting developed (yes it's an old camera). He looked adorable in them and he did pretty well for it being his first time. He would kind of lean to the front and then lean to the back but he didn't get the whole kick your feet in the water thing.

This is Dalton and I with my new blonde hair before we got in the water. Does he look more like my kid now?? Since he came out of my belly I wanted to try to match my hair closer to his instead of my naturally black hair . Dalton is giving the evil eye to the bucket spilling over everyone in our picutre haha little did he know we were taking him under there later that day. Oh and yes that is water behind us even though it looks like dirt you would figure with a gorgeous pool like that you would put DYE in the water if it is that dirty lol.

Here is Dalton with his Uncle Ronnie in the water (the very shallow water). One thing that was neat with this pool is it was a beach entry one so Dalton was able to walk around and get down all by himself and splash around without us holding him. For some reason though we would walk him in the pool and he would walk right back out and try to get us to play chase with him instead of swimming. He is a silly boy;);)

Here they are standing under where the bucket dumps. There was a little tube slide for smaller kids here but they wouldn't let us go with Dalton down it so he didn't get to go:( Mommy went with Uncle Aaron and his crazy blue mohawk though on the big tube slide which was a lot of fun. Uncle Aaron kept trying to flip mommy but she was strong enough to hold it down without flipping. After the water dumped on Uncle Ronnie and Dalton he was clapping his hands and doing his little shaking face when he was walking around like he was trying to find the water and beat it up. Dalton also played with the water guns that are attached to this big thing they were standing on and they were shooting people in the water (like mommy).

Here we are the three of us eating birthday cookie cake after a long day of swimming. Dalton always manages to get the blue icing all over him and make a mess;) We had a great time Happy Birthday Hunter!!
